Dearborn Park’s Little Free Library

Friends of Dearborn Park had a successful unveiling of our Little Free Library today, Saturday, December 10. Neighbors as young as 4 months we’re in attendance. PNCBank donated the Little Free Libraries and they were painted by children from DeKalb County Public Schools. Friends of Dearborn Park would like to thank DeKalb County Parks & Recreation and Park Pride for their help in matching us to this great sponsor. In addition, we’d like to thank HausZwei Homes for being our food sponsor.  This event caps a very successful first full year of the reinvigoration of Friends of Dearborn Park, where we installed over 30+ shrubs, removed invasive ivy, and had several clean up days in Dearborn Park, which is located within both City of Decatur and unincorporated DeKalb County.
